This Maple Parquet block floor was very uneven; it required major sanding starting from a rough 24 grit paper and finishing on a 120 grit paper.
Starting from such a rough paper also enabled us to get some pretty severe stiletto heel marks and gouges out of the wood. Once sanded the floor was primed then sealed with 2 coats of water based Gloss finish lacquer.
